IELTS + PTE

IELTS (International English Language Testing System) / PTE (Pearson Test of English) are the most popular tests of English Language proficiency needed for higher education and overseas immigration. Both are approved and accepted by the Australian government as well as Australia immigration and visa allocation purpose. IELTS and PTE are part of Australia’s Points based immigration system.

You will need to meet the English language requirements to apply for:

  • student visas

  • skilled visas

  • some permanent visas

IELTS and PTE test results are valid for up to 3 years. The test is globally accepted for measuring proficiency in the English language in the four abilities Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing.

PTE Academic – Pearson Test of English Academic. PTE Academic is a 3-hour long, computer based assessment of a person’s English language ability in an academic context. In addition, the test provides feedback on enabling skills in the form of Oral Fluency, Grammar, Vocabulary, Written Discourse, Pronunciation and Spelling.

  • Competent (50-64) earns you 0 points

  • Proficient (65-78) earns you 10 points

  • Superior (79-90) earns you 20 points

IELTS

  • Competent (band score of 6 or higher) earns you 0 points

  • Proficient (band score of 7 or higher) earns you 10 points

  • Superior (band score of 8 or higher) earns you 20 points
